when you go to buy something brand name is important or not

Brand name shows that this product is good or reliable. Also it says,this product has a good quality and it will take long lasting. When I go to buy something, sometimes brand name is important for me sometimes not. It depends on the product I go to buy toothpaste, medician, electronic goods. I must see the brand for example, there are many kind of toothpaste in store I prefer toothpaste which has a good brand because it is related to my teeth and gum. If I choose some local made items may be I will get some problem. Same as electronic goods I would prefer to buy branded items, like car, T.V, and streo. Because these kind of product I will not be able to change every year. So, I want to buy branded product. Because these kind of product has warrenty period. Also, if I get any problem in future the company will able to fix my problem. However some local companies doesn't provide these kind of facilities. In contrast, when I go to buy clothes I don't prefer branded clothes because fashion of clothes always change in two or three months, so I don't want to spend a lot of money in branded clothes and I do prefer normal company clothes. I think their is no much difference between branded and local made companies clothes. I want a lot of collections rather than branded clothes.

If someboby suggest me that this comapny product is good. I try to listen him/her. First of all, I will find out she/he is just crazy about the branded product or really he/she knows the difference. Second, he/she thinks expensive items are always good or what her/he thinking. But I will not do the blind faith on recommendation. I will go with my choice and my opinion.
